Authorized to order
Passing the final assessment activates your clinician account, so you can order BioDigit devices directly for your patients and be listed on our find a clinician page. There is no lab equipment to buy and no minimum order.
One appointment, one protocol
The whole capture is designed to fit inside a standard consultation: measurements, photographs, color reference and nail selection. You'll learn exactly what to record, in what order, and what makes a capture fail so you don't have to redo it.
A service line you can add this month
Partial finger loss is common and rarely well served. Certification lets you offer a private pay cosmetic restoration to patients you already see, and gives referring hand surgeons and therapists somewhere to send people.
About the Course
Most clinicians see partial finger amputations regularly and have nowhere good to send those patients. A custom silicone prosthesis restores the look of the hand, protects the residual digit, and for many people makes the difference in whether they'll use the hand in public. The barrier has never been demand. It's been that the capture and fitting process was treated as specialist lab work. This training removes that barrier. It teaches the BioDigit protocol end to end: how to judge whether a residual finger is suitable, how to take the measurements and photographs we build from, how to match skin tone and nail shape accurately under ordinary clinic lighting, and how to fit, wear test and hand over the finished device. It is written for registered clinicians who already work with hands: prosthetists and orthotists, hand and occupational therapists, plastic and hand surgery practices, and nurse practitioners in reconstructive and burns services. You do not need silicone experience. You do need to be registered and practicing, which is what the entry questions before the course check. Six chapters, six lessons, around 90 minutes. Work through it in one sitting or across a week. Pass the final assessment and your ordering access is enabled the same day.
About Your Instructors
The training is delivered by BioDigit's clinical and production team: the prosthetists who developed the capture protocol and the silicone technicians who sculpt, color and finish every device by hand. That combination is deliberate. The people who make the finger are the people telling you what they need from you, so the guidance is specific rather than general. When a lesson tells you to photograph the adjacent digit at a particular angle, it's because that's the shot the technician uses to match the nail bed.
